Cold gas intensifies in Karachi as natural gas crises recovers

sui northern gas crises recovers

Karachi: As the cold season intensifies, the sui northern gas crisis has worsened, which has not only reduced the gas pressure in the industries but also has increased domestic users in different areas of the city.

Karachi Industrial Forum chief Javed Bulani told Express that industries located in seven industrial areas of Karachi are facing gas pressure reduction when industrialists inquire about the reasons for the reduction in gas pressure. Growth is justified.

Javed Bulani said that due to absence of sui northern gas pressure, the production activities of the industries in seven industrial zones are being adversely affected, which has made it impossible to complete export orders in a timely manner. Take immediate notice of this serious issue of pressure reduction; complaints of gas pressure reduction have also increased in different areas of Karachi as the cold intensifies.

Gas load shedding is underway in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 19, Sector Five-D, Five-E, Model Colony, Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

In this regard, SSGC officials say gas demand has reached 1400 to 1450 million cubic feet as the weather gets colder. The gas field is supplying 1150 to 1160 million cubic feet of gas, he said. Authorities say the demand for natural gas in Bulgaria has increased from 100 MMCFD to 200 MMCFD due to the cold weather
